I ended up going to the Green Apple author event for Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks and it was a great talk!! Ethan Gilsdorf was a funny, articulate man who spoke of his experiences as an aficionado of all things fantasy and went out of his way to illustrate that not every gamer (etc) lives in their parents' basement with bad acne and no prospects of "normalcy" (*not that there's anything WRONG with that!....). I was sad that the turn out wasn't bigger because he may have read the whole book to us if that were the case At any rate I will have to read it soon.....

.... As soon as I can put down The Adderall Diaries which I found quite on accident while perusing the stacks before the event. It is promising to be a great read and I hope to learn more about myself in the process. An exerpt is here [link]
